On the weekend of March 17, 2018 the ESDU DanceStar 2018 took place in Zell am See, where a small group of our dancers participated with their solos, duos and trios. We are really happy about the great results – all our dances qualified for the World Dance Masters in Croatia! – and would like to thank all teachers and parents for their support!

We would like to especially mention Sebastian Hofbauer, who won the Special Award “Best male Talent”! In addition we are also very happy that Sebastian Hofbauer and Sophie Rath are nominated for the Starnight in Croatia with their contemporary duo and that Sebastian Hofbauer is also nominated with his tap and his contemporary solo!

The competition season 2015 ends with another great result! After the sensational result at the Austrian Open in Musical- & Showdance in Klagenfurt and the similar impressive result at the European Open in Villach, our competition team returned from the Austrian Championships in STREETDANCE & PERFORMING ARTS in Hartberg with 27 Gold, 13 Silver and 10 Bronze Awards.

We thank the organisers for the successful competition, especially for the relaxed athmosphere. A beautiful conclusion for our dancers after the stressful and cumbersome ASDU championships.

KrisTina and her team congratulate the dancers and thank for the discipline which was necessary to achieve the most successful competition season in the history of the Broadway Connection. Our thank goes also to the contest group choreographers KrisTina Decker, Petra Böhm, Miriam Lechlech, Wei-Ken Liao, Michelle Hoffmann, Ralph Galvan and Maria Gabler. We also want to thank our parents, relatives, friends and supporters who support our students so intensly at the competitions and in the preparation.

Here a short video from the competition that was prepared by the organisers:

We congratulate our competition team to a sensational result of 31 National Championship Titles, 11 Vice-Champions and 14 Third Places at the Austrian Open 2015! That is the best result that we ever mastered at the Austrian Open, the Austrian Championship in Musical & Showdance.

From April 23 – 26 2015 our competition team – consisting of dancers of the Broadway Connection and the Broadway Academy of Musical Theatre – participated in the Austrian Open 2015.

"Future Talent" Sebastian Hofbauer

“Future Talent” Sebastian Hofbauer

In a perfect environment – thanks to the organisers! – our dancers felt really well and with the support of KrisTina Decker, Petra Böhm, Michelle Hoffmann, Miriam Lechlech, Desiree Loy and few active parents they could give their best during qualification and final round. Thanks to all who helped!

We congratulate all the dancers who earned their awards with hard work and discipline in the preparation phase but also during the competition days (make-up as early as 5 a.m. and competition rounds until 9 p.m.).

We are especially happy for Sebastian Hofbauer for his recognition as “Future Talent“, a special award from the judges.

Worth mentioning is also that Sophie Rath won her National Titles in Jazz and Contemporary both with more than 100 points and the highest score in these categories.

The Broadway Connection confirmed its reputation as the best tap education Austria’s: Out of 11 tap numbers, 7 became National Champion and 3 were runner-ups.

KrisTina Decker and her team thanks again all who contributed to this sensational result, according the BC slogan:
