Successful Premiere at the Ballet Championship 2013 in Villach

In March 2013 the Broadway Connection participated the first time at the Ballet Competition in Villach and could celebrate already 5 First, 9 Second and 8 Third places. 8 of our dances qualified right away for the World Championships in Brighton, England.

We congratulate all dancers to this exceptional achievement! This was a great rehearsal for the upcoming ASDU Austrian Open 2013.

We thank especially Gitti Paller for the organisation, Barbara Rath and Brigitta Zahour for the sewing work, Manfred and Martina Lobenhofer for the refreshments and all the parents and students that helped for the frictionless process (Carina, Simon, Anna J., Nina, Katja, Alena, Tania, Sheila, Jutta, Ernst, Philipp). Obviously our thanks goes also to our great faculty and choreographer team KrisTina Decker, Petra Böhm, Wei-Ken Jeffrey Liao, Miriam Lechlech, Magdalena Bönisch and Ralph-Leonel Galvan for the wonderful creations.

Great Results at the Austrian Open 2012 in Klagenfurt

Due to scheduling difficulties the Broadway Connection could only send a small but powerful team of 4 students to the ASDU Austrian Open 2012 in Klagenfurt. The result of our dancers is impressive:

Sophie Rath won the 1^st place and National Champion against 14 competitors in the category Contemporary. She confirmed her strength with three Runner-Ups in the categories Jazz, Tap and Musical.

Her brother Niki won together with Meta Schumy the 1^st place and National Championship Title in the category Contemporary. Meta won also the 1^st place and National Champion in the category Song & Dance. Anna Rath came in second in the category Musical and fourth in Jazz. Again congratulations to such a great result!

A big thank to all parents and supporters who helped our students with the organisation, the hair, the make-up and the costume changes.

Not only our students were successful, some of our teachers started with their own dance crew. We would like to congratulate our Academy students and Broadway Connection teachers Miriam Lechlech and Ralph Galvin and our teacher Sascha Gruber together with their Dance Crew to a Diamond award in the category Open.

Broadway Connection celebrates another Outstanding Result at the Austrian Open 2011 in Linz

From March 11 – 13, 2011 the ASDU Austrian Open in Musical & Showdance took place in Linz/Upper Austria. Over 1,000 participants and 411 dances from all over Austria came together to be judged and awared in different disciplines.

Besides evergrowing competition, KrisTina Decker and the students of the Broadway Connection Competition Team even succeeded last year’s result and celebrated 15 National Championship Titles, 8 Runner-Ups and 4 Third Places. The dancers in the Final Round competed in the disciplines Open, Contemporary (Modern), Classik-Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Song & Dance and Musical.

KrisTina Decker is proud and thankful to be able to work with such disciplined and talented children and youngster and congratulates all to their great achievements at the Austrian Open 2011! You are the Stars …
