High Points and Top Results in Schwechat!

KBC Competition Team 2020, Austrian Qualifier Schwechat

The hard work paid off for our Contest Groups and our Choreographers! It was the first competition for many dancers, choreographers and parents. It is all the more gratifying how wonderfully the cooperation worked, the joy of everyone involved in front of, on or behind the stage, the mutual cheering and the many helpful hands.

The great team atmosphere was rewarded with a great result: 14x gold, 10x silver and 5x bronze! Over three quarters of our dances landed on the podium, many of them in highly competitive categories. Almost all of our dances have qualified for the World Championships in Poreč (Croatia), and a quarter of them even in the demanding A-League.

Thanks again to the dancers, the choreographers and the parents for the great performance and support during the competition weekend from February 28th to March 1st, 2020 in Schwechat.

Our National Champions and Runner-Ups 2019: Niki Rath, Kathi Lobenhofer, Sebastian Hofbauer, Sophie Kriegl, Lara Grünsteidl (not on the picture)

We congratulate our small delegation of our competition team which returned with a sensational point record from the ASDU Austrian Championship, the Austrian Open 2019, in Wiener Neustadt from April 30 – May 2, 2019.

We celebrate especially the 111 points & Diamond award for Sebastian Hofbauer‘s tap solo (choreo: KrisTina Decker) and the highest points of 106 in the pro-am category for Kathi Lobenhofer & Sebastian Hofbauer with their own choreography. Also Niki Rath joins the “Club 100” with 102 points. Sophie Kriegl with 98 points and Anna Trabelsi with 96 points make 5 dances with more than 95 points!

Lara Grünsteidl becomes Austrian Champion in the Musical category and Runner-Up in Tap.

Also Emili Rossol qualifies for the final round and in a starter field of nearly 20 dancers she finishes on the strong 8th place.

We thank Kathi Lobenhofer who managed also the organisation at the competition while competing herself.

Kristina’s Broadway Connection Competition Team, DanceStar Austria 2019

We congratulate the dancers and the choreographers to an impressive result at this year’s Austrian DanceStar Qualifier and National Championship at Baden. From March 29-31 our dancers reached 21 First Places, 21 Runner-Ups and 3 Third Places.

Besides a generally restrained scoring by the judges, nearly 80% of our dances did qualify for the World Finals at Poreč (Croatia). We are proud of great performance of everybody!

Special thanks goes again to our parents who always support us at the competitions, be it make-up, hair or the preparation resp. transport of the necessary props. BTW, we are always looking for new volunteers. 😉

On Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Pyramid in Vösendorf the Vienna Dance Fest 2019 took place, which was also the start for our competition season this year!

Especially for our young dancers in the age groups Mini, Children and Juniors an ideal opportunity to present their solos and to experience the competition flair and to reduce their stage fright.

Great results at the ESDU Austrian National Championship 2018 in Zell am See

On the weekend of March 17, 2018 the ESDU DanceStar 2018 took place in Zell am See, where a small group of our dancers participated with their solos, duos and trios. We are really happy about the great results – all our dances qualified for the World Dance Masters in Croatia! – and would like to thank all teachers and parents for their support!

We would like to especially mention Sebastian Hofbauer, who won the Special Award “Best male Talent”! In addition we are also very happy that Sebastian Hofbauer and Sophie Rath are nominated for the Starnight in Croatia with their contemporary duo and that Sebastian Hofbauer is also nominated with his tap and his contemporary solo!

Outstanding Result at the DanceStar Austria 2017 in Zell am See

We congratulate the dancers and the choreographers of our Competition Teams to an outstanding result. At the Austrian DanceStar Championships from April 7 – 9 2017 in Zell am See, our students won 22 First Places, 13 Second Places and 9 Third Places!

We are especially happy, that most of our dances qualified for the World Dance Masters in Poreč (Croatia) and two thirds even qualified for the A-Finale!

Beste Choreographie 2017Another highlight is the nomination of our Juniors dance “Our Stories of Mourning” (Choreography: Petra Böhm) for the Gala-Night in Poreč and that Petra Böhm received the Special Award “BEST CHOREOGRAPHY” for this piece. An honour every choreographer wishes for. We congratulate full-heartedly.

We thank our dancers and choreographers for the hard word and discipline, as well as the parents for their support. Without them these consistent results would not be possible.
